From a Bell to a Ruby

The thought of you excites my spirit,

I ring for you every hour.

If I should have a wish for more,

I would ring upon the minute.

My lip quivers as I hold my ring,

till the moment you hear it sing.

I wait to see your crimson glow,

for your beauty to unfold,

but you must not leave this world,

in an empty darkness full of trolls.

Come selfish creatures to capture your beauty!

Come take away a sacred ruby!

And hold ransom

your heavenly glow,

your crisp edges,

your infnite value.

I will withstand these hollow tunnels,

fill them with echoes,

of a love that could have been,

if only, we could have been.
